Karina Grotz is VP of Marketing and Business Development for KARMA Media Labs. Her role is to lead client development efforts and manage relationships, develop various business channels for KARMA and develop winning social media strategies for our clients.
Karina joins KARMA from FremantleMedia Enterprises, where she served as the Director of Integrated Marketing & Sponsorships representing a portfolio of entertainment properties including American Idol, America's Got Talent and The Price Is Right for opportunities in both the on-air and off-air space. Her experience also includes launching brands including Etchstar.com and TOMS Shoes, where she focused on using both online and offline social networks to raise awareness for the brand by harnessing the power of viral influence of taste-makers, celebrities and key influencers. Previous to these roles, she spent six years at Miramax Films where she played an integral role in starting the television division of the company ("Clerks" "Wasteland" "Project Greenlight" "Project Runway") before moving over to the film side as a production executive in charge of product placement for all theatrical, television and direct-to-video projects ("Kill Bill" "Spy Kids" "Shall We Dance").
Karina started her career in entertainment in the TV Packaging Department at the William Morris Agency after a two year college internship at Lifetime Television in Longform Programming and Development.
